Mette Cheng Munthe-Kaas began her term as documentary consultant at Filmkraft on January 1.
Mette took over from Line Hatland who is now going to realize her own documentary stories. Production and industry advisor Marie Fuglestein Lægreid has resigned from her position, and we are advertising for a new addition to the film center - is that you?
Marie Fuglestein Lægreid has resigned from her position as Production and Industry Advisor at Filmkraft.
Marie has been important for the development of the production advisor role during the processing of audiovisual grants at the film center and Filmkraft's competence-raising of the industry in recent years. Mainly through the development of new offers such as workshops and courses under the Best Practice umbrella, she was at the forefront of the development of our application system Regportal and also important for the implementation of the targeted competence-raising measures `NorDoc` and `Skrivecamp` to name a few.
Marie will be missed by her colleagues at the film center, and we all thank her for letting us get to know you, General Manager Anne Lærdal

Documentary consultant Line Hatland 's term was at the end of the year, she was with us for about 1.5 years.
Thank you also to you and your knowledge, Line, for all the good conversations and good inputs, and nice perspectives you have brought during your period for our film projects and initiatives here at the film center.
You have settled in well and helped develop the role as documentary consultant and prepared it for the continuation for the incoming new consultant Mette, general manager Anne Lærdal.

Welcome Mette!
Filmkraft Rogaland has hired a documentary consultant for the next two years. On January 1, 2025, Mette Cheng Munthe-Kaas (52) started her one-year contract in a 50% position at the regional film center.
With over 25 years of experience in documentary film production at home and abroad, she has produced and co-produced more than ten feature-length documentaries.
We are very pleased that Mette will be part of Filmkraft from January. She brings a wealth of insight and experience from both the national and international documentary film industry and the funding apparatus.
And we know Mette well from before, both as a producer for our own director Zaradasht M. Hairan's documentaries "Nowhere to hide" and "Bong Thom", which Filmkraft has supported with grants, and we have followed her work for years.
"With this appointment, we continue our commitment and focus on bringing out the important stories and voices from Rogaland." Mette will also be a production advisor on all documentary projects in the period until a new advisor is hired. This gives her a great opportunity to get to know the industry's companies and projects well, says Anne Lærdal, CEO of Filmkraft.
